Instructor Bio:

Dr. Keneika A. Rowe, CHE, CHIA

Dr. Keneika A. Rowe is the CEO and lead consultant for GlobalSD Training & Consulting Services LLC. She is a qualitative and quantitative researcher, scholar, and management consultant with over a decade of industry experience. She is a solid analytical and problem-solving leader with expertise in strategic planning, leadership and organizational change, destination research, market research, sustainable tourism planning and development, lodging and restaurant operations, training and development, revenue management, project management, and instructional design. She is an educator and Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewer in Higher Education. Dr. Rowe started her career at the Riu Hotels and Resorts, where she worked as a special event manager, front office receptionist, and maintenance secretary. She has been in higher education for 14-plus years. She was a former Assistant professor at Northern Michigan University, where she was the lodging and tourism expert from 2015 to 2020. She taught courses in all areas of lodging, travel, and tourism and service management in training students on proper dining room operation in a student-run restaurant. She was a facilitator at Cornell University, facilitating courses in the eCornell certificate programs. She facilitated strategic planning, marketing, and hotel operations courses from 2021 to 2023. She currently teaches at Monroe College in the undergrad and graduate programs as an adjunct professor, where she has been a lecturer since 2012 and teaches primarily hospitality and tourism-related courses. Dr. Rowe earned her Ph.D. in management, where she concentrated on leadership and organizational change, from Walden University in 2018. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Business Administration, concentrated in International Business from Lehman College in 2012, a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Hospitality Management from Monroe College in 2010, and an Associates degree in hospitality and tourism management, where she concentrated in food and beverage management from the Montego Bay Community College in 2008. In her spare time, she enjoys researching trends in the travel and tourism industry, traveling, hiking, getting lost in nature, doing yoga, CrossFit, and spending time with friends and family.

    Each course has a checklist with all the activities that must be completed in each module before moving to the next module. Your instructor will also ensure you complete all the activities before the course ends.

  • Do I need to be online at the same time as other learners?

    No. Our course site is available to you 24/7. You can participate at a time that is convenient to you once it is within the course scheduled calendar.

  • How much time do I need to plan to study for the 2 weeks?

    You should plan for 6-8 hours to complete course discussions, quizzes, and final projects.

  • Do I need to purchase materials for the course?

    No. All materials required for course completion will be provided in the course. These include instructor-created videos, readings, podcasts, articles, and YouTube videos.

  • What type of payment is accepted?
